These dryers are generally used for applications where for quality reasons, the material to be dried can be subjected only to low air temperatures thereby requiring extended drying time or because of the fact that capillary action in the product is inherently very low, as a result of which, moisture transfer from the core to the surface is very slow.

These dryers can be made available with different types of energy efficient Hot Air Generators (HAGs) running on solid, liquid or gaseous fuels. These dryers are also compatible with solar cells.
